Light up the River with Song

We have invited local musicians to create their own song about our area , they will be performing their special song as part of a short set and talk about their creative process.

The evening starts at 6 PM with Happy Hour on the Footbridge where we will celebrate the evening with beer, wine or soft drinks to purchase. Performances then move to Bluenose Gopher Public House, 681 Prentice St.

The music events are free and open to everyone! Locations and musicians will be announced here.

The four musicians chosen are as follows -

CJ Sieling is one half of Carry t Coals, two childhood friends who have loved writing songs together for over 30 years.

Lee Kanten was named ‘24 Prairie Disciple by the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council for his work hosting open mics and jam session around Big Stone Lake.

Caroline Koska a is a musician with a current focus on traditional Celtic music for harp and voice. She has a degree in vocal performance and also plays piano and flute. 

Jesse Lee has been composing since the age of twelve. His works include solo piano, solo flute, chamber music, and large ensemble music, particularly full orchestra. 

Celebrate the Meander Art crawl with an evening of original music in downtown Granite Falls. This event is free and open to everyone
