In our scenic river town, the arts are thriving! Two arts organization bring events, artist residencies, classes and exhibits to Prentice Street - K.K. Berge Gallery and Gift at 807 Prentice Street and The Yes House at 726 Prentice Street.

The Community Artist in Residence Program is unique to a town our size and will host a European Union Artist through the Rising Stars Program in April and May of 2026. This program is managed by the Granite Area Arts Council. The chosen artist will have a local collaborator artist, Talon Cavender-Wilson. The City of Granite Falls is a partner in this program and provides an office in city hall.

Alma’s North Arts at 380 8th Ave is home to visiting artists and a space for classes and events. It will be the home and studio space for the 2026 CAIR artist from the European Union.

Falls Cafe and Canoe is owned by two artists who have a gift shop in their restaurant.

Bluenose Gopher Public House at 681 Prentice St. features live music as well as classes and art exhibits on Blue Tin Gallery.

Treasured Talents Dance Studio offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Pom, Hip Hop, Acro, Pointe and Kick

The Fagen Fighters WWII Museum contains murals and sculptures depicting historic scenes.

Prairies Edge Casino Resort has frequent musical performances.

Yellow Medicine East School has active art, music and band departments.

Enjoy our public art along the Riverwalk, our artist benches, Veterans Memorial and downtown planters. New art installations at Memorial Park add to the beauty of the park and tell the story of its 100 year history.

Granite Falls is the eastern start of the Meander Art Crawl, always the first weekend in October. We host a Meander Friday Night event.

In the summer months, enjoy creative vendors and live music at the monthly Makers Market on the Riverwalk on the 1st Thursday of June and July and September and Squid Fest in mid August at Memorial Park.
